Keep up-to-date with Handcrafted Jewelry by Teri C.
It’s time for part two of my Business Philosophy. My last blog talked about the identity of Handcrafted Jewelry by Teri C. In part two I’m going to tell you about my Customer Service Philosophy! My Customer Service Philosophy can be summed up in three parts: the golden rule, more than customers, and my promise and guarantee. These elements to my Customer Service Philosophy are written out short and sweet below! Have a look and rest assured that I have your best interest at heart. This is the first blog of two that will overview my business philosophy. If you’ve been to my website, you will already know that I create and sell handcrafted jewelry. This is just the basic frame of my business. Like any other business, I create a product, market it, and sell it to the consumer. What makes Handcrafted Jewelry by Teri C. unique, is the soul of my business. It goes far beyond creating, marketing, and selling a product. Below, I have outlined three important things that I would love for you to know about who Handcrafted Jewelry by Teri C. is!
Handcrafted Jewelry by Teri C. “It’s everywhere you want to be!” ![]() Remembering to give a bit of TLC to your handcrafted jewelry will go a long way in keeping your treasured pieces beautiful and bright. The first thing to keep in mind is that handcrafted jewelry should be worn and stored with care. Exposure to chemicals and abrasive environments can cause permanent damage such as oxidation and scratching. To the left are five simple preventative guidelines. (Click on image to enlarge) To keep your jewelry clean, a bit of mild liquid detergent added to warm water creates a gentle cleaning solution versatile enough to clean and care for the majority of handcrafted jewelry made with silver, glass beads, crystal beads, and semi-precious stones. If cleaned regularly, a damp microfiber cloth will do the job effectively, often without requiring a cleaning solution at all. It should be noted that pearls should ONLY be cleaned with warm water and a soft cloth. Be sure to gently pat your jewelry dry, once clean. Following these guidelines will keep your jewelry looking shiny and new so that you can enjoy the fine craftsmanship and beauty of your wearable art every time you put it on. ![]() We are now, 6 months into 2016. This is the time of the year, that I review my goals & progress. I must say, so for, so good. Woot, Woot!!! I have learned a lot about metal stamping. There are many tools that you need to create a stamped bracelet, pendant & stamped tags. Now let me tell you, once the stamping is completed, now you need to be sure to darken the image that you just stamped. Oh, my, don't use to much of ink, because if you do, now you need a special polishing pad, to remove the excess ink. Don't worry about your freshly painted nails, because, now they are a different color. LOL!!! As I mentioned earlier, about the different tools, I forgot to tell you about the special brass head hammer that you must need. Well, who knew that I needed a 2lb. hammer for some of the many stamps that I have added to my tool box. Did you know that now is a great time of the year to go through your jewelry to see, what you wore a lot and what you bought thinking that you would ware that piece a lot and never did. Well, it might be time for a Jewelry-makeover. You might be able to turn that outdated necklace, into a cool bracelet or bracelets that you can wear as a stack set. Wishing You A Fabulous June! Every now and then while working on a custom jewelry order make over, I have a vision of what else could be made from the jewelry piece. Did you know that you can wear a brooch as a unique necklace by adding jump rings & chain to it. Do you have a beaded long necklace that you like, but no longer wear, because it's out of style.
(jewelry never goes out of style) :0) You can take the necklace and wrap it around your wrist, for a bracelet, only if it's long enough. How about the piece of jewelry, with the missing stones. Yes, it can be saved, with glue, that is used for jewelry, and maybe taking a visit to the bead store to see if you can find a stone that will work. I do this sometimes from broken jewelry. Today is also the last Friday in January. Can't believe how time flys!! How are you doing on your list of projects, new things that you plan on trying this year? Have you made it to the gym as many times in January as you planned? Have you made a change in anything that you said you were going to give up? If not, don't worry, because everyday, we get to start over. Wishing You Much Success!!! "Gratitude turns what we have into enough" Hello Everyone & Happy New Year!!!!!
As we take time to start a New, pause & remember those who's lives were taken. The reason is not important, but pausing to say a prayer for them, so that they will know that We have not forgotten them. I don't know about you, but for me it's been a very interesting year. This is my last blog for 2015, and I would like to share some thought about some words that for some reason, I have found to fit in my life. The first word is Supportive.: to give help or assistance to (someone or something). Yes, I know that that word has several meanings, but this is one that for me I witness a lot. Were you Supportive to someone or something, or did someone give you Support, just when you needed it? Mindful: aware of something that may be important. With so many thing racing for our attention, it can make you forget what you are doing and sometime where you are. Let's start out 2016, being Mindful, when our family members, or anyone is speaking. Put down that phone, tablet, IPad or any other electronic disstration, and really listen to what they are saying. You will be surprised to see the look on their face, or faces when they notice that you really Care about what they are saying. Kind: attentive, considerated, thoughtful, loving, gentle. This is another word, with many meanings, but for the blog, I wanted to pick out some of the words with feelings attached. This has been a year of, hatful comments ,& actions, not only in the media, but I have noticed, some on social media. Yes, I understand, free speech, however, is this the way that we humans want to live. What type of example are we setting for those (little ears, & eyes) our children. Surely, we don't want them to think & believe that, hey this is the way to get what we want, or take from others. Just my thoughts. As we prepare oursleves for the New Year, I would like for us to remember these word, Reflect, Respond, Revisit & Review. These are Action words, so action is what I leave you with this December 31, 2015. Peace & Blessing! Happy New You!! http:www.tacbeaddazzled.com Merrian-Webster Dictionary's definition of the word Peace, mean a state in which there is no war or fighting.. As I watch the news, read the news, I don't hear the difinition of Peace. What has happened to the World as I knew it just a few years ago. Could it be due to the change in Attitude of the masses. I also looked up the word Attitude, and found several definitions. The first one was,: the way you think and feel about someone or something. Have we as a nation, forgot the meaning of Peace & Attitude? I sit and wonder sometime, why is there so much mean-spirited language being used, in the press, on TV and just about any public places. Don't you think that just IF we were Kinder, showed compassion for our fellow woman, man & children the world would see more Peace. As we go into the holiday season, and into the new year, let's take the meaning of Peace & Kindness with us daily.
I Wish You Peace, Love & Blessings! It's been a while since I sat down to share a few things with you. So much has happen, since my last post.
I have been heavy into webinar learning. If you have not tried it for you business, or learning experience, you should give it a shot. The internet has a lot out there, Free for the asking. On Tues. & Weds., those are my babysitting days. Our little greatgrandson is growing so fast. He is almost 9 mos old this month. He is learning to stand alone. Sometimes watching him, hang on to something, then stand up and let go, is a fun site to see. What is interesting is how many times he falls down, he smiles and gets right back up to try again. I lost count the number of time he fell, then got up. What it reminded me of was, we as grown ups need to keep getting up, each time we fall. It could be a sale that we did not get, a plan that did'nt work out a job that was not meant for us. I know, I will keep in my mind the picture of our greatgrandson, holding on, then standing up, balancing himself, standing with no hands, falling down, but getting right back up and trying again. Till next time, keep getting up, try again, and again. |
